Central China Wetland Attracts Visitors in Summer

The distinctive and beautiful scenery of Dajiu Lake Wetland in Shennongjia, located in Central China, Hubei Province, greatly appeals to tourists and remains a cool place even though it has entered the hottest days of summer.

The scenic spot covers an area of 5083 hectares with a 1645-hectare wetland area. Its average height is up to 1700 meters. It enjoys the reputation of largest and highest mountain wetland in central China.

In 2008, protection and restoration project was conducted by the government and now it has displayed its enchanting charm of nature.
